Karen has an extensive background in advertising and marketing, stewarding strategic communications efforts
of many blue chip brands and Fortune 500 companies. She began her career in advertising, ultimately holding
a leadership position on the Audi of America business at McKinney & Silver. From there she moved to corporate
marketing, in senior marketing and advertising roles for Midway Airlines and Progress Energy. She also has
experience directing sponsorship and experiential marketing efforts on behalf of corporate clients.
With a wealth of experience on both the client and agency sides of the business, Karen brings an important
perspective to serving Engine’s clients. She knows what it takes to succeed in today’s competitive marketing
environment, but perhaps more importantly she understands the pressures corporate marketers can face
internally as well.
Karen holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Political Science from the University of North Carolina
at
Chapel Hill.
